What do you think about joining the company as a cast (currently Hokkaido Airport) member?

At what times are you glad that you are doing this job?

    I have experience studying abroad, so I enjoy being able to use English.

At what times do you feel that this job is tough?

  • [Information Services]
    When a customer says something inconsiderate. (I try to change this into something positive, such as by imagining the customer's feelings!)
  • [Passenger handling service]
    When I'm pressed to deal with a sudden flight cancellation and I'm tested mentally and physically.
  • [Ramp Handling service]
    It's tough when we work in winter cold (even when the temperature drops to -20°C).
  • [Flight Operation Service]
    A lot of things do not go according to plan In bad weather and problems remain.

What do you think about shift work?

  • It's basically a four-day work, two-day off cycle, so I think it's easy to stay in good condition.
  • I'm glad that hospitals and popular shops are open during weekday days off. Conversely, I'm a bit disappointed that work falls on year-end and New Year's holidays.
  • For me, it's the greatest. There are a lot of days off on weekdays, so I can travel at low cost, which is a big benefit.
  • When I'm on the early shift I can go shopping after work, and when I'm on the late shift I can spend time meaningfully before going to work.

How do you spend your lunch break?

  • I have a boxed lunch in the break room and relax. Sometimes I eat with senior employees at airport restaurants.
  • Having ramen at the food court while watching the airplanes I love is a treat.
  • I explore airport restaurants and have coffee.
  • I refresh myself by eating something good and talking with colleagues.

How are the atmosphere and human relationships in your section?

  • The superior-subordinate relationships are solid. The environment is one in which we can ask about anything. I think the workplace atmosphere is one in which everyone helps each other.
  • We can get advice on personal matters as well as work matters, which is really a help. I was grateful for the advice I got when I had concerns about childrearing.
  • I feel that people task to each other and make sure there aren't worries.
  • I think the workplace is one that cares about people's physical condition and understands problems unique to women.

What internal programs have you been happy with?

  • The special leave for childcare. The ability to take this separately from paid vacation is a help!
  • The meal ticket subsidy program that can be used at airport restaurants.
  • I was able to go to Hawaii and Hokuriku on company trips. I was able to interact and talk about things with people from affiliated companies that I don't usually have involvement with, which was a lot of fun.
  • The employee dormitory. I'm glad that there's a furnished dormitory with convenient access to the airport. This also helps save on living expenses.
